CLEANING SHAGGY RUGS
Shaggy rugs are heavy pile rugs, maintenance of which is a bit difficult when compared to the ordinary rugs. However, there are three simple ways of cleaning shaggy rugs that can be easily done at home. These ways are:
a) Vacuum: Every setting of the vacuum provides a high or low position. For cleaning shaggy rugs, set the position of the vacuum on low so that it is able to clean the deep parts of the carpet and remove as much dirt as it can. Do this step twice or trice on every patch so that maximum dirt can be removed.
b) Beat the Rug: Turn you shaggy rugs an beat the back of it with a stick. Beat as hard as you can so that the dirt that has been accumulated deep into the rug comes out. After beating the rug, face it straight and clean with a vacuum cleaner.
c) Steam Clean: If your shaggy rugs have any stains than it can be removed with steam cleaner. These cleaners can be taken on rent clean the rug.
Thus, although shaggy rugs are difficult to maintain and needs lot of care and cleaning, but it makes the room or the area look more appealing.
